Dr. Nabhan is a Hematologist and Medical Oncologist with special interests in malignant hematology (Leukemias and Lymphomas) and GU malignancies. Dr. Nabhan did two years of basic science research at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School before completing his residency at Loyola University in Chicago and a fellowship at Northwestern University and Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. He also has an MBA in Health Care Management from Loyola University Quinlan School of Business. He has been the primary investigator on many clinical trials, and most of his research work has been presented at national and international meetings. He also served on the Double Hit Lymphoma Foundation Board (2013-2017) and the ASCO Health Disparities Committee (2014-2017). He has over 300 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts or book chapters and serves on editorial boards of multiple scientific journals including JAMA-Oncology. He is a reviewer to major journals such as Blood, JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, Leukemia Research, among others.
Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Chadi was the Medical Director of the Clinical Cancer Center at the University of Chicago Medicine overseeing the clinical operations of cancer clinics supervising all aspects of cancer care delivery. He was instrumental in obtaining the QOPI (Quality Oncology Practice Initiative) certification for the University of Chicago and an integral member of the team implementing clinical care pathways and the OCM application. In addition, he was a Medical Director for the International Program facilitating expansion of cancer services to international patients at the University of Chicago. Prior to his tenure at the University of Chicago, Dr. Nabhan was the Director and Chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. In addition, he was the hematology/oncology fellowship program director and the Medical Director of the Cancer Institute at Advocate Lutheran leading strategic and marketing efforts for the cancer service line.
Dr. Nabhan maintains his licenses to practice in the states of IL, IN, WI, FL, and CA. He is a highly sought-after speaker, facilitator, and moderator by all stakeholders on cancer-related and medical business topics. He started and hosts a healthcare podcast named “Outspoken Oncology”, which airs on all podcast outlets every Tuesday morning. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.
